The Alp Nova Tour is the mountain bike loop that passes right by our house: from St. Gallenkirch via Gortipohl up the mountain road to Garfrescha, on over gravel to the Alpe Nova (around 1,900 m) with its cheese dairy and restaurant, and back to the valley via the Nova valley or the ascent route. Around 20 km and a good 900 m of ascent – a pleasure day by e-bike, a sporty half day under your own power. The climbs are even, the descent on forest roads straightforward.

International bike portals list the tour among the recommended e-MTB routes of the Montafon; the Nova Stoba at the Versettla summit station is a possible detour. E-bikes can be hired in St. Gallenkirch.

Helmets are compulsory, hikers have priority. Bike transport on cable cars only at set times or by online booking.

From the holiday house in St. Gallenkirch the starting point is easy to reach by Landbus (stop 400 m away) or car – see the travel notes.

🚌 Getting there by public transport

Landbus 650/670, stop St. Gallenkirch Valisera cable car; ski bus in winter. 2 km from the holiday house (bus stop 400 m away).

Large car parks and underground garage at the Valisera/Grasjoch cable cars: free in summer, paid in winter (Silvretta Park garage always paid, 11 kW EV charging).
