Fares (VMOBIL fare system from 1 June 2026)

Vorarlberg has three fare zones: LOKAL (local area around your starting point), REGIO (region, e.g. Bludenz–Montafon) and MAXIMO (all of Vorarlberg from Lake Constance to the Arlberg). Tickets are valid for 60 minutes, 120 minutes or 24 hours (the 24-hour ticket starts with your journey, not the calendar day); monthly tickets are also available.

TicketFare (example)
LOKAL 60 minutes€2.40
LOKAL 24 hours€4.60
REGIO 60 minutes€4.80
REGIO 24 hours€9.20
MAXIMO 120 minutes (all Vorarlberg)€9.60

Example fares according to VMOBIL (as of June 2026); the fare finder at vmobil.at shows the exact price for your journey. Children travel at reduced fares.

Travel for free: in winter every valid ski pass entitles you to use the ski bus and Landbus in the Montafon. In summer the cable cars' multi-day pass (Freizeit-WildPass) includes all buses and trains across the whole Vorarlberg network. Unlike the guest cards of Bludenz, Klostertal or Brandnertal, the free Montafon guest card does not include free bus and train travel.
