Montafon guest card & Freizeit-WildPass

1. Montafon guest card – free for every guest

Every guest staying overnight in the Montafon receives the Montafon guest card (Montafoner Gästekarte) from their host. It is valid from arrival to departure day and gives discounts with many partners in the valley and across Vorarlberg. It is explicitly not a ticket: cable cars, buses and trains are not included (for that there is the WildPass, section 2).

All year

• 20 % off the guided BergePLUS programme (hikes, via ferrata tours, culture walks – weekly programme)
• Combined ticket for the 4 Montafon museums €7 instead of €9 (children free); reduced admission at vorarlberg museum and Kunsthaus Bregenz
• 10 % off tandem paragliding (Flyingfor2), the cheese school at Käsehaus Montafon and guided tours of the Montafon Nordic Centre
• 10 % off the Karren cable car and inatura in Dornbirn, reduced brewery tour at Fohrenburg Bludenz, 20 % off the Montafon folklore evening in Vandans

Summer

• approx. 25 % off admission to the outdoor pools Aquarena St. Gallenkirch, Alpenbad Montafon Tschagguns, Mountain Beach Gaschurn, Rätikonbad Vandans and Partenen pool
• approx. 15 % off tennis court hire in Gortipohl (right next to us), 10 % off Lake Constance boat trips, 10 % off the Alpinarium Galtür

Winter

• 10 % off ice skating, ice disco, skate hire and curling at the covered ice rink in Aktivpark Montafon

The guest card is free. After the booking confirmation you enter the names and dates of birth of everyone in your party online via our link (registration form); we register you with the municipality, and the cards arrive as mobile guest cards by e-mail a few days before arrival. The full, current list comes with the card and is displayed at the house.

2. Freizeit-WildPass – the cable cars' summer multi-day pass

If you plan to use the cable cars a lot in summer, buy the Freizeit-WildPass (3 to 21 days, also available as a season pass). It is a paid product of the cable car companies and available to all guests – regardless of where you stay. Included:

• Uphill and downhill rides on all participating summer cable cars (19 lifts) – in the Montafon these are the summer lifts of Silvretta Montafon (incl. Garfrescha, Valisera, Grasjoch, Hochalpila, Hochjoch, Zamang, Sennigrat, Versettla, Nova), Golm, Gargellen, Kristberg, Tafamunt and the Vermunt cable car in Partenen; plus Lünersee, Brandnertal, Muttersberg, Sonnenkopf, Schnifisberg and Sonntag-Stein
• public transport: Landbus Montafon, Montafonerbahn Bludenz–Schruns, ÖBB Feldkirch–Bludenz–St. Anton, buses in the Brandnertal, Klostertal, Walgau and Großes Walsertal – not included are hiking buses, the night express and, according to the lift companies’ overviews, the tunnel bus to the Bielerhöhe
• 10 public pools (incl. Alpenbad Montafon, Rätikonbad Vandans, Mountain Beach, Aquarena, Val Blu) and 8 museums (incl. the four Montafon museums, Klostertal museum, Bludenz town museum)

Children born 2021 or later ride free (ticket required at the ticket office). For children born 2016–2020 the annual WildPass winter 2026/27 + summer 2027 is free in advance sale (1 Sept – 8 Dec 2026) – only at the cable car ticket offices and advance-sale outlets (not online), with a recent photo and photo ID. Current prices and operating dates of the individual lifts are available at the cable car ticket offices or in the cable car companies' online shop (wildpass.at). If you only ride once or twice, day or single tickets from the respective lift are the better choice.

3. Winter: ski passes and Montafon Brandnertal WildPass

In winter the Montafon Brandnertal WildPass covers all ski areas in the valley (Silvretta Montafon, Golm, Gargellen, Kristberg, Silvretta-Bielerhöhe) and the Brandnertal – from 2 days as a multi-day pass. Day, multi-day, season and annual lift passes are valid as tickets on the ski buses, the Landbus Montafon (until 7:30 pm) and the Montafonerbahn Bludenz–Schruns in winter for the purpose of winter sports; the pedestrian single ride and the N6 night bus are excluded. Day tickets for individual ski areas are sold at the ticket offices and online.

4. Good to know: other guest cards in Vorarlberg

Neighbouring regions have different schemes – such as the Bludenz & Klostertal guest card or the Brandnertal Premium guest card, which include bus and train travel in Vorarlberg or even cable cars. These cards are only issued by accommodation in the respective region and do not apply to guests staying in St. Gallenkirch. If you come across such cards in our leisure guide at destinations in Bludenz or the Brandnertal, they refer to overnight guests there.

What does that mean for your stay with us?

• The Garfrescha cable car is 600 m from the house – with the Freizeit-WildPass you head straight into the mountains in summer without a car; without a pass you buy a lift ticket at the valley station.
• Around 270 entries in our leisure guide are marked "WildPass included": cable car rides, pools and museums covered by the multi-day pass.
• With the Montafon guest card you save about a quarter at the outdoor pools and 10–20 % at museums, the BergePLUS programme and many partners.
• Bus and train: fares and day tickets under Transport & Parking; in winter a lift pass (day, multi-day, season or annual) counts as a ticket on Landbus and ski bus until 7:30 pm.

Cable cars: summer 2026 and winter 2026/27

Operating times of all cable cars in the Montafon, Brandnertal and Klostertal – summer 2026 according to the Montafon Tourism overview, winter 2026/27 as far as already published. Our local lift is the Garfrescha cable car (600 m).
