The Ill cycle path follows the river from the start of the valley to Partenen – mostly on dedicated cycle paths and quiet side roads, with a gentle climb up the valley (around 370 m over 36 km). Along the way: Schruns, Tschagguns, St. Gallenkirch, Gaschurn and Partenen with bathing lakes, playgrounds and places to eat; Dutch and British family portals recommend the route as “the flattest bike ride in the Montafon”. Return by Landbus (limited bike transport) or turn around in Gaschurn.

For us the path is right outside the door: in Gortipohl you simply join it and pick a direction – down the valley to Schruns (12 km, level) or up to Partenen (14 km).
