Lamm Hütta

The Lamm Hütta stands at around 1,300 m on the Mittelmaisäß above Gaschurn, at the edge of the forest right by the valley run of the Silvretta Montafon ski area and about a 30-minute walk below the mid station of the Versettla cable car. Albert, Sandra and their team run it as an après-ski bar and snack parlour: coffee and apple strudel from mid-morning, small snacks from 11 am, in winter après-ski with a DJ from 3.30 pm. A speciality is the bar with home-made schnapps, fruit brandies and Swiss pine schnapps as well as wines mainly from southern Styria; by prior order there are Kässpätzle parties, a mountain breakfast for ten or more and barbecue evenings for twenty or more. The big sun terrace with valley view is the real reason to come.

In summer the Lamm Hütta is part of the maisäß loop: take the Versettla cable car to the mid station (1,480 m), from there follow the red trail no. 4 or the blue loop down to the hut and return to Gaschurn along the gravel road – about 6.5 km and 1½ hours, according to Vorarlberg Tourism also feasible with a pushchair. From our house it is 4 km to the Versettla cable car (bus 650 about 10 minutes). Summer 2026 from 20 June daily 11 am – 6 pm, winter daily 9 am – 7 pm (2025/26 season). Cash only.
