„Gaschurn Dorf (Kulturhistorische Wanderwege Montafon 1)“ is a easy themed trail in the Montafon. Start and finish are the same, so you return to your car or bus stop without any shuttle.

The route measures 0.9 km, with 8 m of ascent and 6 m of descent, pure walking time is around 30 minutes. The highest point is at 980 m, the lowest at 973 m.

The starting point is reached by cable car – in summer the ride is included with the Freizeit-WildPass (summer multi-day pass), otherwise a lift ticket is needed; the free Montafon guest card only gives a discount.

The route is rated family friendly and suits children who already enjoy walking.

The route leads via Lukas Tschofen Stube, Tanzlaube Gaschurn, Pfarrkirche Hl. Michael Gaschurn and Alpin- und Tourismusmuseum Gaschurn and back to the starting point.

Start early – summer afternoons often bring thunderstorms. Carry enough water; many huts are only open from late June to late September.

From the holiday house in St. Gallenkirch the starting point is easy to reach by Landbus (stop 400 m away) or car – see the travel notes.
