„Kapell Top station - Kropfen via Waldweg (Waldwiesenweg)“ is a easy hike in the Montafon.

The route measures 2.7 km, with 8 m of ascent and 485 m of descent, pure walking time is around 1 hour. The highest point is at 1,840 m, the lowest at 1,355 m.

The starting point is reached by cable car – in summer the ride is included with the Freizeit-WildPass (summer multi-day pass), otherwise a lift ticket is needed; the free Montafon guest card only gives a discount.

Start early – summer afternoons often bring thunderstorms. Carry enough water; many huts are only open from late June to late September.

From the holiday house in St. Gallenkirch the starting point is easy to reach by Landbus (stop 400 m away) or car – see the travel notes.

🚌 Getting there by public transport

Landbus 680 Schruns–Silbertal to the Kristberg cable car valley station; hiking bus into the upper Silbertal (summer). From St. Gallenkirch via Schruns approx. 35 min.
