Valisera Hüsli Mountain Restaurant

Log house with tiled stoves at the Valisera top station at around 2,100 m: Montafon cooking, panorama terrace, play corner – 2 km from our house to the valley station.

all year 👨‍👩‍👧 Family friendly 🎫 Included with the Freizeit-WildPass

The Valisera Hüsli is the mountain restaurant at the top station of the Valisera cable car high above St. Gallenkirch – a log building with tiled stoves at around 2,100 m, run by restaurant manager Markus Scheibenstock and his team. The menu features Montafon classics such as Käsknöpfle (cheese noodles), Kaiserschmarren, dumplings and grilled dishes; breakfast is served until 10.30 am and in winter there are Knöpfli evenings. The panorama terrace comes with a sandpit and a Bobbycar corner, which is why families tend to linger here. Dutch and English travel reports single out the traditional Montafon cooking.

For us the Hüsli is the quickest mountain stop: the Valisera cable car is 2 km from the holiday house (bus 650/670, stop 400 m from us), the ride up takes a few minutes and in summer it is included in the Freizeit-WildPass. From the top, hikes start to the Schwarzsee, to the Alpe Valisera and along the high-level path to the Grasjoch Hütte. On summer Saturdays (27 June – 12 September 2026) the cable car runs until 9.30 pm for the hut evening with live music. Valisera cable car summer 2026: 27 June – 20 September, no service on Tuesdays.
