New self-service restaurant at the Golmerbahn top station (December 2025): 400 seats inside, 400 on loggias and terrace, ordering by app – winter only.

The Restaurant Grüneck is the successor to the more than 50-year-old panorama restaurant at the Golmerbahn top station: in December 2025, after two years of construction and an investment of around €35 million, the Golm lift company (illwerke vkw) opened the new station building with the Grüneck on the upper floor, the à la carte restaurant Feineck below it, plus ski school, rental and ski kindergarten. The Grüneck is a self-service restaurant of a new kind: you order by app or web at the table or at the till, and eat at 400 seats inside and 400 on wind-sheltered loggias and the sun terrace. The menu offers Austrian classics, apple strudel and vegetarian as well as vegan dishes; a children's play area and the adjoining Golmi-Land make it the family address in the ski area. The Grüneck is closed in summer 2026 – the Feineck takes over then.

In winter (season 5 December 2026 – 4 April 2027) you reach the Grüneck by Golmerbahn from Vandans or Latschau; from our house allow about half an hour's drive to the valley station (ski bus/bus 650 to Schruns, then the local bus). Groups have their own room for around 100 guests.

💡 Tips & refreshments

Winter season only. Ordering by smartphone at the table – keep your phone charged. Busiest between 12 and 1.30 pm; the loggias are pleasant even when it is windy.

🚌 Getting there by public transport

Montafonerbahn to Vandans or Tschagguns, Landbus to the Golm cable car in Vandans/Latschau (Golm valley station). From St. Gallenkirch: bus 650 with change in Schruns.

Free parking at the Golm cable car in Vandans and in Latschau (mid station/Gauertal car park, partly paid in summer).
