The Golmer Höhenweg is a marked route from the Golm summit station (Grüneck) along the ridge to the Geißspitze (2,334 m) and on to the Lindauer Hütte, from where the Latschätzer trail leads back to the cable car. About 14 km, a good 550 m of ascent and 5 hours – a moderate, scenic loop listed on OpenStreetMap as a hiking route in its own right. The view reaches from the Rätikon and Zimba across the Montafon to the Silvretta.

Foreign hiking portals highlight the variety: ridge path, summit, hut stop and the alpine track back. Sure footing on the ridge is required; the cable car ride is included with the Freizeit-WildPass in summer.

Start early – summer afternoons often bring thunderstorms. Carry enough water; many huts are only open from late June to late September.

From the holiday house in St. Gallenkirch the starting point is easy to reach by Landbus (stop 400 m away) or car – see the travel notes.

🚌 Getting there by public transport

Montafonerbahn to Vandans or Tschagguns, Landbus to the Golm cable car in Vandans/Latschau (Golm valley station). From St. Gallenkirch: bus 650 with change in Schruns.
