Panorama trail Gantakopf

A viewing balcony above the Nova area: the panorama trail to the Gantakopf is short, almost level and opens up the view from the Rätikon to the Silvretta.

From the summit station of the Versettla cable car the panorama trail runs about four kilometres to the Gantakopf and back – without significant climbing but with the whole Montafon at your feet: the Rätikon with Zimba and Drei Türme, the Silvretta with Piz Buin, and below the valley from Schruns to Gaschurn. The path is wide and well built, which is why foreign family blogs recommend it as an introduction to mountain walking.

For more, extend to the Gantakopf loop (9 km) or stop at the Nova Stoba. The cable car ride is included with the Freizeit-WildPass in summer.

Start early – summer afternoons often bring thunderstorms. Carry enough water; many huts are only open from late June to late September.

From the holiday house in St. Gallenkirch the starting point is easy to reach by Landbus (stop 400 m away) or car – see the travel notes.
