The Seeweg is the shortest marked link between the Kapell top station of the Hochjoch cable car (about 1,970 m) and the Wormser Hütte. The mountain trail (white-red-white) first climbs across alpine pastures, reaches the Herzsee – a small lake that often shimmers heart-shaped in summer – and higher up the Schwarzsee, where many families take a break on the shore. The final 200 m of ascent lead in bends up to the ridge on which the Alpine Club's Wormser Hütte stands: 2,307 m, a terrace with views of the Zimba, the Rätikon and the Verwall group.

The trail is a good 3.5 km long with about 330 m of ascent; taken at an easy pace it needs 1½ hours. Return either the same way to the cable car or – as a loop – via the Sennigrat and the Seetalweg. The route is recorded as a named route in OpenStreetMap; in winter the Hochjoch ski area covers this terrain and the hut can only be reached with touring equipment.
