„Vom Kristberg to the Lobspitze“ is a demanding circular hike in the Montafon. Start and finish are the same, so you return to your car or bus stop without any shuttle.

The route measures 21.0 km, with 1694 m of ascent, pure walking time is around 9:53 hours. The highest point is at 2,561 m, the lowest at 1,453 m.

The starting point is reached by cable car – in summer the ride is included with the Freizeit-WildPass (summer multi-day pass), otherwise a lift ticket is needed; the free Montafon guest card only gives a discount.

Start early – summer afternoons often bring thunderstorms. Carry enough water; many huts are only open from late June to late September.

From the holiday house in St. Gallenkirch the starting point is easy to reach by Landbus (stop 400 m away) or car – see the travel notes.

🚌 Getting there by public transport

Landbus 680 Schruns–Silbertal to the Kristberg cable car valley station; hiking bus into the upper Silbertal (summer). From St. Gallenkirch via Schruns approx. 35 min.
