Lake Constance boat trips from Bregenz
The three-country lake from the water: 1–2-hour round trips and scheduled boats to Lindau (22 min), Friedrichshafen and Konstanz – 3 April to 18 October 2026.
At 536 km² and 63 km long, Lake Constance is the third-largest lake in Central Europe, up to 251 m deep and shared by three countries – and you understand it best from a boat. From Bregenz harbour, right next to the station, sail the white ships of Vorarlberg Lines, the Austrian partner in the alliance with the German and Swiss Lake Constance shipping companies. The 2026 season runs from 3 April to 18 October. Choose between the one-hour round trip in Bregenz Bay past the lake stage, Hard and the island town of Lindau (adults €16.50, children €8.20, families €39.60), the two-hour panorama cruise to the three-country corner (€26 / €13, as of 2026) and the scheduled boats via Lindau, Wasserburg, Langenargen, Friedrichshafen, Meersburg and Mainau island to Konstanz.
Our classic: take the express boat to Lindau in 22 minutes, explore the island old town on foot and return to Bregenz by train – Lindau-Insel station is right by the harbour. Bregenz–Meersburg takes about 1 hour 50. From our house it is 75 km / 1 hour to the harbour; more relaxed is the train from Bludenz (about an hour, Bregenz Hafen stop). The Pfänder cable car (a seven-minute walk from the harbour) and the lakeside promenade fit in well; bicycles are allowed on board. In summer there are themed cruises with brunch, fried chicken or Kässpätzle, and Christmas cruises in Advent.
