Flying Fox Golm

The Flying-Fox-Golm spans the Latschau reservoir, the balancing basin of the Lünersee power station above Tschagguns: 565 m of steel cable, 47.5 m of height difference, a gradient of about 8.4 degrees – enough for up to 70 km/h above the water, with the Rätikon in view. You launch from the platform of the forest rope park and land at the Alpine Coaster station on the other side of the lake; the whole thing lasts barely a minute but stays in your head for a long time. Anyone weighing between 25 and 110 kg may fly – the operator states no age limit, but children need the minimum weight. The flight costs €22.90 (children €16.10); the €62 adventure ticket includes it together with the rope park, Alpine Coaster and Golmerbahn.

Operation in 2026 is daily from 23 May to 27 September, then Friday to Sunday until 18 October, 9.30–17.00; it closes in thunderstorms. Latschau is about 25 minutes by car from St. Gallenkirch (parking partly charged in summer) or reached by the first section of the Golmerbahn from Vandans. Combines well with the Latschau crag on the lakeshore and the Alpine Coaster down to Vandans.
