Loischkopf loop (Bürserberg)
Viewpoint loop around the Loischkopf high above the Brandnertal – up by cable car, almost level on top, panorama of Zimba and Schesaplana.
The Loischkopf is Bürserberg’s lookout mountain. The Loischkopf cable car takes you up from the Tschengla, and the state of Vorarlberg’s loop circles the summit over about 4.5 kilometres with moderate gradients: alpine meadows, dwarf pines and benches with views of the Zimba, Schesaplana, the Walgau and – on clear days – as far as Lake Constance. Travel reports from the Netherlands and the UK praise the loop as one of the most scenic family hikes in the Brandnertal.
Afterwards, the descent to the stone circles on the Tschengla or a stop at a mountain restaurant is worthwhile. The Brandnertal is about 35 minutes by car from St. Gallenkirch; the ride up is included in the Freizeit-WildPass.
