Silvretta Montafon ski area
Vorarlberg's sportiest ski area right on the doorstep: 140 km of pistes, around 35 lifts, 700–2,430 m – get in via the Garfrescha cable car 600 m from the house.
Silvretta Montafon links the Hochjoch (Schruns) and Nova (St. Gallenkirch/Gaschurn) mountains into one area with 140 km of prepared pistes and about 35 lifts between 700 and 2,430 m. Highlights: the "Montafon Totale Ski" circuit over both mountains, Vorarlberg's longest valley run with 1,700 m of descent from the Hochjoch to Schruns, freeride areas, snow park, timed race courses, the Garfrescha night toboggan run (Tue/Thu/Sat) and many huts from the Nova Stoba to the Kapell.
From the house you walk 8 minutes to the Garfrescha cable car and ride straight into the Nova area; the Valisera and Grasjoch cable cars are 2 km away (ski bus free with a ski pass). Season roughly early December to mid-April. Ski pass: day and multi-day tickets, WildPass for all Montafon ski areas; children under 10 get a free annual pass (born 2016–2020).
💡 Tips & refreshments
Ski rental right at the Garfrescha valley station (Sport Harry, Intersport). Ski passes are usually cheaper online (dynamic pricing). Ski schools in St. Gallenkirch and Gaschurn.

Walk to the Garfrescha cable car (600 m); ski bus to Valisera/Grasjoch/Versettla/Hochjoch free with a ski pass.
