Alpine Coaster Golm

The Alpine-Coaster-Golm is the only summer toboggan run in the Montafon: 2,600 m of rail lead from the Latschau mid-station through the forest down to the valley station of the Golmerbahn in Vandans. According to the operator there are 44 bumps, 15 tight 180° hairpins and a 360° spiral along the way; the two-seater sledges cannot derail, eddy-current brakes cut in automatically above 40 km/h, and below that you set the pace yourself with the brake lever. Children may ride from age 3, ride alone from 8 years and 1.40 m, and take a passenger from 14. Dutch family blogs praise the fact that start and finish are in different places, which makes the descent pleasantly long.

You go up on the first section of the Golmerbahn from Vandans (free parking) or start directly from the car park in Latschau. In 2026 the coaster runs daily from 23 May to 18 October, 9.30–17.00; a single ride costs €18.50 (children €13.20), the adventure ticket with rope park, Flying Fox and cable car €62. The coaster also operates in winter; the 2026/27 times were not yet fixed at the time of writing. From our house it is about 35 minutes by car; with bus 650 to Schruns and the Montafonerbahn to Vandans you can also manage without one.
