Golm Forest Slide Park

In the forest slide park on the Golm the descent becomes the attraction: seven enclosed stainless-steel slides with a diameter of 80 cm are set into the mountain forest between the Matschwitz mid-station and Latschau, linked by a purpose-built hiking path. Our track measures 2.2 km and 520 m of descent, just under an hour of pure walking – with sliding, queuing and shouts of “again!” it becomes considerably more. Children may slide from age 4, up to 6 only with an adult, then on their own; because the tubes are enclosed they work even in light rain, according to the operator. A Dutch family blog calls the park its children’s favourite spot on the Golm.

Ride up on the Golmerbahn from Vandans to Matschwitz (2026: 23 May to 18 October, 8.30–17.00, included in the WildPass); the slides are open during cable car hours and golm.at lists no separate ticket for them. Down in Latschau the Alpine Coaster takes you on to Vandans, while up at Matschwitz you can add the playground, the inn and Golmi’s discovery trail – a whole day on which nobody has to walk uphill. From St. Gallenkirch it is about 35 minutes by car to Vandans, or bus 650 to Schruns and on by Montafonerbahn.
