Klimmerei bouldering hall

The Klimmerei in Bürs, just beyond Bludenz at the entrance to the valley, is a pure bouldering hall – you climb without a rope at jumping-off height above thick mats. The operator calls it Vorarlberg’s first bouldering park: several sectors with walls of different angles, a 40 m² training board with dense hold coverage, a power corner with rings, hangboard and kettlebells, plus a separate children’s area; around 40 problems are reset regularly, so it never gets boring. There are dedicated sessions for 5- to 13-year-olds, and at weekends in bad weather the small bistro is staffed.

The access system is what makes it special: the hall is open daily from 6.00 to 22.00 and you enter with an online ticket, the app or a chip subscription via QR code at the scanner – the desk is not always staffed. A day pass costs €14.80 for adults, €13.80 from age 15, €9.80 for 6- to 14-year-olds, the family ticket €37; members of the Alpine Club and Naturfreunde pay less. From St. Gallenkirch you drive about 30 minutes along the L188 to Bürs (address Quadrella 10) – our recommendation for rainy days, ideally combined with a stroll through Bludenz.
