In Dalaas in the Klostertal the Fallbach plunges down the valley in several steps, and the via ferrata follows the rock wall beside it – with steep slabs, short overhangs and traverses in the spray, graded C/D. The route is long (just under 800 m of ascent) and demands fitness; portals from Austria and abroad rank it among the most spectacular waterfall via ferratas in Vorarlberg.

From St. Gallenkirch it is around 40 minutes via Bludenz into the Klostertal; the start is on the edge of Dalaas. The way back follows the hiking trail to the car park.

Start early – summer afternoons often bring thunderstorms. Carry enough water; many huts are only open from late June to late September.

From the holiday house in St. Gallenkirch the starting point is easy to reach by Landbus (stop 400 m away) or car – see the travel notes.
