via ferrata Hochjoch

The Hochjoch via ferrata climbs from the Seetal side along the ridge to the Hochjoch (2,520 m) and is listed as Vorarlberg’s longest via ferrata. Its appeal lies in the variety: slabs, edges and short traverses alternate with walking terrain, the Kälbersee and Herzsee lakes glitter below, and behind you the view opens onto the Rätikon and Silvretta. There is an easier line (A/B) and the sporty variant (C), which cross at several points – so you can switch en route.

Thanks to the Hochjoch cable car and the short approach from the Seetal, the tour is a relaxed half-day outing with around 450 m of ascent; the reward is the Wormser Hütte at 2,307 m with its terrace above the valley. Descend through the Seetal or via the ski tunnel trail to the Kapell summit station.
