Kälbersee via ferrata
Practice via ferrata in a picture-book setting at the Kälbersee: several routes from A to D – for learning, revising and trying things out.
Close to the Seetalhüsli, a good half hour from the Kapell summit station of the Hochjoch cable car, lies the Kälbersee – and above it the rocks with the practice via ferrata. Several short routes of different difficulty (A/B to C/D) sit side by side, so beginners can practise footwork and clipping technique while experienced climbers train on the steeper lines. English-language portals highlight the setting: mountain lake, flower meadows and the view to the Rätikon.
Once you are confident with the set, you can go straight on to the Hochjoch via ferrata, which starts a few minutes away. Allow about two hours for approach, practice routes and return.
