Via ferrata Rifa
Mini practice via ferrata at the Rifa reservoir near Partenen (A/B) – a few metres of rock to try out.
At the Rifa reservoir between Gaschurn and Partenen there is a very short practice via ferrata (A/B) – a few metres of secured rock where children and newcomers can get used to set and rungs. Ideal as a stop on the way to the Vermunt cable car or as a first contact before the via ferrata on the Silvretta reservoir dam.

The route leads via Kletterwand Rifa and back to the starting point.

Start early – summer afternoons often bring thunderstorms. Carry enough water; many huts are only open from late June to late September.
From the holiday house in St. Gallenkirch the starting point is easy to reach by Landbus (stop 400 m away) or car – see the travel notes.

Landbus 650 to Partenen (terminus), Tafamunt and Vermunt cable cars a 5-minute walk; approx. 20 min from St. Gallenkirch.
