On Montafon Arlberg Marathon day the youngest have their start in Silbertal too: the kids' trail runs in several age groups over 580 m to 1.2 km around the finish area at the fire station and sports ground. The route drawn here is the junior trail of 1.1 km, 11 m of ascent and 17 m of descent, between 872 and 900 m – flat, wide, on meadow and gravel tracks along the Litz. The 10 minutes in our fact box is a guide value; in race mode it takes far less. Since 2019 the marathon has finished in Silbertal, so the children experience their race right in the finish atmosphere, with announcer, music and the marathon runners arriving from St. Anton.

The next edition is on 26 June 2027; entries via the organiser, Montafon Tourismus. Outside race day the loop is a good route for a first running session with children or to round off a trip to the Kristberg or the Silbertal mining museum. From our house it is 21 minutes by car; bus 650 to Schruns and bus 680 to Silbertal take about 35 minutes. Free parking at the Kristbergbahn.
