The Wiegensee lies in a raised bog within the Natura 2000 protected area between Tafamunt and the Bielerhöhe – rare plants, dragonflies, silence. Approach from the Tafamunt top station (approx. 1.5 hours, moderate) or from the Kops reservoir. Please stay on the paths; swimming is not allowed in the protected area. Guided nature walks in the BergePLUS programme.
