Latschau reservoir & Golm lakes
The Latschau reservoir at the foot of the Golm – circular path, flying fox over the water, Alpine Coaster summer toboggan run – and the little Herzsee on the Golm plateau.
The Latschau reservoir (Staubecken Latschau) lies at around 1,000 m at the foot of the Golm above Tschagguns. It belongs to the Illwerke power plant group and can be circled on a level, pushchair-friendly path (approx. 30 minutes). Right above the water runs the Flying Fox Golm – a 565 m steel cable from the forest rope park to the Alpine Coaster station, at up to 70 km/h.
If you like it fast, ride the Alpine Coaster Golm afterwards, the 2.6 km summer toboggan run on rails from Latschau down to Vandans (44 waves, 15 bends, one 360° loop). For children there are also the forest rope park and the forest slide park by the reservoir.
Up on the Golm plateau lies the Herzsee – a small mountain lake reached from the Grüneck top station in a few minutes and popular with children. Both combine well into a day on the Golm adventure mountain.
🚌 Getting there by public transport
